Fish out of Water

After a lengthy hiatus from web-tivity my move into Brooklyn is more or less over. Anyone who has made a sizeable move knows that the move isn't truely over until the last box is unpacked, then again those people probably have space to put the stuff in that final box. I just moved into NYC without a job, do the math of $0 income time square footage and you tell me where that last box of stuff goes.

I'm becoming rather fond and codependant of the N line, which is an express train that stops four blocks and an avenue from where I live in Sunset Park. I'm learning that the N is far superior to the Lexington 4-5 lines, which I once swore was the fastest way to get places from Grand Central. Not the case at all, for an express line there are a ridiculous amount of stops in Manhattan, even a few between Atlantic Ave., Brooklyn and Bowling Green, Manhattan. Convenience is most definately not the optimum route when it comes to the subway.

As for the title, well here's a little diddy which is actually unrelated in creation but in some freakish way appliesI'm new to New York City, in the respect that I haven't lived here before. I've certainly been here enough over my life, especially over the last few years since my sister had lived here; but in actuality I am still a NYC beginner. To anyone who sees me on the street, tell me how much I resemble that adorable mermaid. I'd like to think that I don't stick out quite that much, but I'm very much aware that I'm not the chameleon that I so desire to be.
